SpamOver Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-13. Boland Solutions, LLC, Georgia, USA.

1. Summary

SpamOver is made by Boland Solutions, LLC. It does not collect, store, or transmit personal information, and it contains no accounts, advertising, or analytics. Everything you enter in SpamOver stays on your device, and in your own iCloud backup if you have backups turned on.

2. Data in the app

Your block rules and any downloaded FTC spam numbers are stored on your device in SpamOver’s own storage, in a shared App Group so the Call Directory extension can read them. We cannot see any of this. Deleting the app deletes it.

SpamOver does not ask for any sensitive device permissions. It does not read your contacts, your call history, or your location, and it does not access the microphone or camera. Blocking is handled by Apple’s Call Directory system from the rules you entered; SpamOver itself never sees an incoming call.

If you enable the optional FTC “Do Not Call” spam list, SpamOver fetches it over HTTPS from api.ftc.gov on a schedule. The requests include the api.data.gov API key you supplied (or the shared DEMO_KEY) and nothing about you — no identifier, no phone number, no contact data.

3. Third parties

SpamOver does not include third-party software development kits that collect data, and it does not send data to third-party services. Apple may collect information related to your App Store purchase and to the app’s operation, such as crash reports if you have chosen to share them with developers; that collection is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.

4. Children

SpamOver is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

5. Changes

If a future version of SpamOver changes how it handles information, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
